City Budget
Our budget is the pulse beat for all of our city’s operations. Currently, our budget is not balanced due to revenue shortages and ongoing wage increases etc. We must produce solutions that will relieve that 64% of public safety usage of our budget. We can do it if we work together.
Street Repairs
Wanda supports our local economy and small business owners within our community, as they are the heart of our community. We need to solicit businesses and partners with developers that can increase our sale tax revenue at a level where our infrastructure issues will be resolved.
Replacing Old Culverts
We must be more proactive in accommodating new development drainage. The old culverts have broken, causing the streets to deteriorate.
Our only solution is to replace them.
This will also help with flood control.
Park Amenities
With our growing community, we need more facilities to accommodate family activities. Since 2020 we have added two new park amenities: Woodland Park workout facility for all ages, and the Oakridge Park Splash Pad. Our next plan for development is a Skate Park at the request of our younger population. Plans for the addition to Oakridge Park will get underway in 2023.
